The Rise of Violence Against Police Officers
Violence against police officers has risen dramatically within the last year, with too many men and women in uniform being assaulted, seriously injured, and killed simply for doing their jobs.
This violence must end.
Every day, police officers put on the uniform knowing they may be putting their own safety at risk to protect others. They are the people who respond when communities need help, often in dangerous and unpredictable situations.
Violence against those who serve and protect our communities has no place in Canada. We must recognize the sacrifices police officers make every day and support those who work to keep our families and communities safe.
